Description
The Saloon Porthole Clock has a hefty solid cast brass casing, scuttle clamps, bevelled glass front and brass hands with black subsidiary indicators on light cream faces.
Outside diameter 9″, face diameter 5.5″, depth 2.25″.
Brass – an alloy of copper and zinc – is easy to work with, can be polished to a gleaming shine, and it has a high degree of corrosion resistance, making it the traditional choice of metal for use in harsh marine environments.
